Career Experience
User Experience and Information Architecture 2004-present
An independent information architect, user experience designer and application definition consultant for clients such as Intercontinental Hotels Group, Polyvision (a division of Steelcase), Delta Airlines, Intellinet, Jacada, Aflac, Form1.org, Northrop Grumman and the Centers for Disease control. I have used my broad experience in business and technology to help client teams imagine and define innovative applications and to gain earlier clarity into the project requirements through visualization. My practical business background and experience in user-centered and facilitated requirements gathering techniques allows me to engage with individual users and the business SME’s to quickly uncover high-impact opportunities for product innovation. In 2010 I began focusing more on handheld and mobile projects and am currently engaged with Intercontinental Hotels Group in mobile application and mobile website research and design.
Recent projects include UX consulting with Polyvision and Delta Airlines, definition and design of a large form-based web application for Aflac and redesign of call-center applications for Jacada. Older clients and projects range from research organizations like the Carnegie Mellon Robotics Center for PDA-controlled robots to several state government offices for web applications.
